und. Athens celebrates the release of its second print edition with a half-day event on Saturday 20 October. The event is hosted by Sektor30, an artist-run, shared workspace that has just opened its doors in Neos Kosmos, Athens.
Following the success of the first und. Athens map that was released in April 2017, the 2018-19 edition has been updated with new art spaces and alternative art walks. It has also been completely redesigned to include more venues and recommendations, plus a new walk that connects Kallithea to the Athens School of Fine Arts.
The launch event on 20 October will start at 17:00 as an open studio, together with a presentation of the new und. Athens map and a selection of guest projects and performances:

About the organisers
und. is an artist-run platform for the documentation, promotion and development of emerging and underrepresented contemporary art in Athens, Greece and its wider region. Its main activities fall within the scope of independent publishing, both online and in print, in collaboration with designers, artists, writers and curators. As part of its mission, und. produces critical texts and art publications, curates exhibitions, organises pop-up events, participates in contemporary art fairs and offers media sponsorships to independent art events. The platform was founded in Athens in January 2017 by Cypriot writer and composer Kiriakos Spirou.
SEKTOR30 is an artist-run workspace for everyone who wants to create something new, to experiment with diverse materials and techniques, or commission new works. The facilities can be used on a monthly membership basis, which gives members unlimited access to working space, equipment, various seminars, classes and in-house support for the realisation of special projects. The studio currently operates a ceramics workshop, a plaster workshop and a wood workshop, with more facilities coming in the near future. SEKTOR30 was founded by the artists Maria Efstathiou and Ilias Koen.
