Record Store Day began in the USA in 2007 with the participation of the country's independent record stores. Since then, it takes place every year on the third weekend of April. Athens has a lively record music scene and you will discover many amazing places to browse new and vintage vinyl in Eksarxeia, Monastiraki, Psyrri and elsewhere. Here's two events for Record Store Day 2018 that we picked up on our radar:

Kasseta Record Store will present a series of ten DJ sets and a live set starting from 11am till late in the evening. During the event you can shop records with discounts.

Meanwhile, the two Athens based record labels Hypermedium & Lower Parts will open the doors of their Headquarter Studio at the center of Athens next to Cannibal Radio, to honour the special RSD day with records, tapes and data along with friends and fellows! There will be special prices for their vinyl releases, merch, T-shirts and tickets for their upcoming events, directly from the source.
