Moth by Andreas Constantinou at Michael Cacoyannis Foundation

08.12.2017

An autobiographical self-interview by the actor Andreas Constantinou, at cross-purposes with the cinematic material of a film, which is a work in progress by the video artist Tzortzis Kontos, with music by Costis Kontos.

“The thing is that almost everything has been recorded and now I have to explain it, I must explain it, and in that way maybe I can finally remember, finally understand.
I can hardly remember a thing.
If anyone were to ask me, I could say that nothing at all happened
or that I don’t want to talk about it.
Or I could say that I really don’t remember
or else I could pretend that what happened didn’t happen to me.
And how on earth am I meant to explain all this when I myself haven’t understood if I was a human being who dreamt he was a moth or maybe right now I am that moth, dreaming that it is a human being?”
