JUMP – European Music Market Accelerator provides a framework for music professionals to develop innovative business models through tutorship, workshops, training programmes and conventions. The call is directed at experienced music industry professionals, residing in one of the Member States or the UK, who may apply as individuals or representing a group, or company, or band. Mediterranean Soundscapes Project is seeking soundworks and experimental audio compositions to be included in the first edition of MS Concerts 'Unmasking. Experimental Sonic Practices', which will be held online, on 11 March 2021. This open call is addressed to all composers, sound artists, ethnographers, sound recordists, and any other individual/s working creatively with audio, who wish to contribute by submitting their work on the theme of a reimagined sound of their respective Mediterranean habitats as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. For the 19th edition of SURVIVAL Art Review, Wrocław, artists are invited to submit proposals for site-specific works which will be presented in the boiler room of a former factory. The proposed projects should respond to the theme 'You ain’t going nowhere'. Deadline is 14 February. Apply here.

Ars Electronica, Leonardo/Olats, University of Barcelona and Quo Artis are launching an Open Call for the production of two artworks and a research residency as part of the international cooperation project Roots & Seeds XXI. Biodiversity Crisis and Plant Resistance. The Call is open to SciArt artists, collectives or curators of any nationality living in Europe. The proposed project should address the biodiversity crisis focused on the botanical world and should be developed in direct collaboration with scientific professionals and/or institutions. Ibrida, Festival of Intermedia Arts is launching an open call for its 2021 edition, to be held in April 2021 in Forlì (Italy). The festival is particularly focused on video art, live performance, AV performance, installation, and virtual reality. Deadline is 26 February. Apply with your work here.

Onassis AiR is accepting applications for the second year of The School of Infinite Rehearsals. Artists, curators, designers, activists, collectives, educators, legal advocates, performance makers, economists, architects, filmmakers and other practitioners from any medium of expression or discipline are encouraged to apply. La Vienísima is accepting submissions by women photographers for the feminist photography contest PERSPEKTIV_A on the occasion of International Women's Day. The theme of the competition is Women In The Rural World and the works submitted should be unpublished. Deadline is 27 February. Read more here.

Forecast offers artistic practitioners and cultural producers working in all creative fields and anywhere in the world, the opportunity to receive mentorship towards the creation of future projects. The COAL Prize dedicates its 2021 edition to the issue of forests at the center of the climate crisis and ecological transition and invites artists from all over the world to apply with projects that will be produced during a residency offered by the Museum of Hunting and Nature at the Belval Domaine, France. apexart will be receiving curatorial proposals for its annual Open Calls from 01 February to 01 March. Winning proposals become part of apexart’s next exhibition season and receive funding and staff support. Read more and apply here.

The Thessaloniki - Leipzig Exchange Program 2021 is now accepting applications from authors and artists based in Greece for two eight-week residencies in Leipzig, Germany. The exchange programme is organized by HALLE 14 - Centre for Contemporary Art, the literary magazine Edit from Leipzig and the Goethe-Institut Thessalonik, and is funded by the City of Leipzig. Concéntrico 07 - International Festival of Architecture and Design, Logroño, Spain, launches three competitions for the creation of one pavilion and two installations. The calls are open to international participation and the projects should reflect on the urban environment and the city through different formats of architecture and design. Deadline is 11 March. Places Journal is now accepting applications for its new Critics-in-Residence in Architecture and Landscape Architecture program, seeking to encourage authors in the production of wide-ranging, conceptually rich, and culturally ambitious essays on architecture and landscape architecture. The National Museum of Natural History and Science of the University of Porto (MHNC-UP) invites designers and creatives from any field or background to submit their ideas for the competition entitled 'The Power of Design: re-establishing embodied conviviality beyond Covid-19'. The ideas proposed should not be based on digital technologies, but capable of promoting safe face-to-face conviviality in times of a health emergency. Deadline is 15 March. For its fifth edition, SMACH BIENNALE seeks artistic installations and works of art to be exhibited in ten different natural locations in Val Badia, Dolomites. Solo artists or groups may apply with works reflecting on this year's key-word: FRAGILE. Deadline is 28 March. Submit your work here.

Goethe-Institut created a virtual residency program to provide funding for international musical collaboration projects. The residency aims to support solo artists and small ensembles from Germany and abroad working on joint research, compositions, concept and project development, pre-productions or innovative online projects. The Onassis Foundation has launched the Emergency Fellowships 2020/21 program for artists and curators of all nationalities to provide support through volatile situations around the world, time-sensitive artistic research, or unanticipated professional needs. The fellowship consists of a stipend, as well as support from the Οnassis AiR team. Selection is done on a rolling basis throughout the year. Read more and apply here.
