The Open Sound Festival launches, OSA 2021, an international call for music producers. The artists are invited to challenge themselves by creating an unpublished, original track based on sound samples of rituals belonging to the Luca region, Italy. The winner will have the opportunity to co-design and co-create a live show in close collaboration with acclaimed Italian music producers. Deadline is 08 August. Read more and apply here.

K3 | Tanzplan Hamburg provides three paid eight-month residencies to choreographers, who are currently at the beginning of their career, having produced some choreographic work of their own. Over the course of the residency, the three choreographers are expected to develop a full-length piece that will be presented at the end of the program. Deadline is 12 August. Apply here.

The Institute for Advanced Study at Central European University invites applications for its Artist in Residence Program which offers one Writer and one Visual/New Media Artist in Residence fellowship. To celebrate its 120 years, Majolika Karslruhe is organising the Majolika Award for Contemporary Ceramic Art 2021. The theme of the competition is "the next Majolika icon". Applicants must be from EU countries. Deadline is 15 August. Read more and apply here.

One Minute Space in Athens is accepting proposals for an exhibition of young Greek art that will take place in autumn 2021. The topic of the exhibition is "situatedness" and there will be an artist fee. Deadline is 15 August. Read more and apply here.

ESPRONCEDA, La Manufacture and MEET invite creators and artistic teams to apply for the residency and showcase program REAL-IN. The residency will give the opportunity to develop an already existing immersive and/or interactive project by exploring the possibilities of 3D volumetric capture. One project will be selected per sector; Music Festivals, Performing Arts and Fashion Industry, and the finalized projects will be presented at major events in Europe (Sónar Festival, Avignon Festival and Milan Fashion Week). The Saison Foundation invites international dance, performance and interdisciplinary artists to apply for the Online Research Residency program. Deadline is 26 August. Read more here.

S+T+ARTS is offering 10 residency grants as part of the S+T+ARTS4Water initiative, open to professional and experienced artists from any art-related field, both individuals and groups. The selected artists will collaborate with curators, scientists, technology professionals, and communities to generate projects raising awareness and offer concrete solutions for regional water challenges in Europe. Zebrastraat, Belgium is launching NTAA, an international competition open to all age groups and to all nationalities. NTAA selects and presents artistic works in which the role of technology occupies a central place. Prizes will be awarded to the winning artists. Deadline is 31 August. Apply and read more here.

Braun announced the 21st Braun Prize International Design Competition which aims to promote the work of young designers and design students with less than 5 years work experience. The competition is open to all nationalities. Deadline is 31 August. Apply here.

Granada UNESCO City of Literature, invites emerging writers, residing in any country and writing in any language, to apply for The Granada Writers in Residence Program. Deadline is 01 September. Read more about the program and apply here.

The Société du Grand Paris is inviting international professional authors and artists from the fields of comics, illustration, animation, cinema and graphic design to create frescoes on the platforms of the Grand Paris Express train stations. Each selected artist will be entrusted with the illustrations of one of the 30 stations, which should represent the served territory. Deadline is 15 September. Read more and apply here.

The Jan Michalski Foundation offers a series of residencies at the Swiss Jura Mountains in Montricher, for writers of all fields engaged in literary creation, working individually or in pairs. All ages and nationalities are accepted. Deadline is 21 September. Apply here.

Applications are open for the Foundwork Artist Prize, an annual juried award to recognize outstanding practices by contemporary artists. This year, two honorees will receive unrestricted $10,000 grants and studio visits with each of the jurors. The honorees and three shortlisted artists will also be interviewed in the Foundwork Dialogues programme to further public engagement with their work. PULPO GALLERY is now accepting submissions for its 2022 OPEN CALL SOLO SHOW, awarding the winner an all-expenses-paid solo show at PULPO GALLERY in 2022. Entries can be any form of two-dimensional or three-dimensional art. Deadline is 31 October. Application deadlines here.
