Yeson Art Centre is a non-profit organisation based in Seoul, South Korea that supports artists working and living with developmental disabilities. The organisation provides studios, materials and tuition to these artists in order to develop their own practice. In 2016, Yeson Art Centre began a dialogue with New York-based artist Gerasimos Floratos in order to explore a possible collaboration. This evolved into a project where a selection of drawings on paper by Floratos were given to artists affiliated with Yeson Art Centre to be used as materials for their own work. Over the course of a year and a half, these artists worked directly on top of Floratos's pre-existing imagery and created the works that are now shown at Hot Wheels Projects.
Participating artists: Miae Choi (b.1985), Sunyoung Choi (b.1989), Wonwoo Choi (b.1981), Yooncheol Ha (b.1981), Seok-yoon Jung (b.1982), Seonyang Kack (b.1995), Daehyun Kim (b.1988), Hyungtae Kim (b. 1984), Jaeyeol Lee (b.1991), Soonjin Lee (b.1982), Young-eun Noh (b.1991), Sangjun Park (b.1991), Sukhee Song (b.1988)
