Allouche Benias is pleased to present the solo show titled “LIFE” by artist b.
Large-scale installations, sculptures and painted works create an expressionistic, and even at times, psychedelic atmosphere that invites us to familiarise ourselves with each artist’s cosmic consciousness, intimate concerns and fantasies. Simultaneous to our authorised submission, forceful images and references of pop culture emerge until we are urgently drawn back to reality and to its uneasy truth.
The “LIFE” installation by b. on the lower level transforms the space into a man-made dystopian wonderland, featuring murals, sculptures and paintings, echoing the artificiality of life’s traces left behind by human intervention. Drawing upon his architecture training, b. immerses us into a spatial experience, where garbage rainbows and animals drinking from yellow lakes feel almost dangerously familiar.
