Hacking Oneself at Snehta

20.02.2020

Snehta is delighted to host the Postgraduate student group show presented by the Plastic Arts laboratory, School of Architecture, National Technical University of Athens. Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Program: “Research in Architecture: Architectural Design - Space – Culture”.

Projects developed within the framework of the academic course “Plastic Language and New Media for the Representation of Public Space”. Tutors: George Giparakis, Ioannis Grigoriadis, Ioannis Isidorou. Twelve art projects suggest a virtual space of transition where defense mechanisms are exceeded and personal data become depersonalized while distributed anew. Through the transpiring osmosis and gradual liquefaction of private and public spheres, a new-found condition of interplay and exchange is produced, one that moves beyond any restrictions of fixed identities. To what extent are we willing to negotiate the interactions and mediations of such an augmented proximity?

Participants: Athina Aggelopoulou, Giannis Apostolopoulos, Foivos Geralis, Margarita Zakynthinou - Xanthi, Dimitra Kordomenou, Christos Montsenigos, Mania Benissi, Eleni Panouklia, Nikos Papavasileiou, Anna Maria Papagiannakou, Stelina Portesi, Maria Charchalaki
