An ironic take on the fruitfulness of our current way of life, the exhibition Gardening at Zoumboulakis Gallery in Athens is an assortment of works that relate, in one way or another, to growth, (re)generation and decay. Envisioned by the curators as "a surreal approach to the current reality in Athens and the winter that never came", the exhibition includes works in several media, such as sculpture, installation, painting and video. Participants include artists who have been collaborating with the gallery for some time, as well as a few non-commercial names and emerging new faces. Quite a fruit basket in that sense, but still a show with several pleasant surprises and bizarre enough to be worth a visit. A detailed 3D tour is available here.
