Once home to ancient rites of fertility and rebirth, Eleusis is a town west of Athens that comes alive every summer with a series of cultural events like the Aisxylia Festival. The Municipality of Eleusis is organising this year its 10th annual visual arts group exhibition, displaying the works of 78 artists from Eleusis and other parts of Greece. Focusing on Eleusinian creators, this recurring exhibition first began in 2008 and has since become a staple in the local cultural calendar. Over the past few years it expanded with an invitation to established and up-and-coming artists and groups from all around Greece, thus enabling a fruitful creative interaction between them and the local artistic community.
